Read against your usual.
The yardstick is you: the median of your previous months, up to six, to the same day. Budgets exist, per category, and never block an entry.
Free. Private. On your phone.
A ledger for accounts in any currency that reads your month against your own usual, not a budget. Free, with no subscription, no ads and no account. Everything stays on your phone and everything is exportable.

Sample ledger. The month, against your own usual.
01 / One person. One phone.
Môney doesn’t ask for a budget or a goal. It takes what you spent by today, sets it beside what you usually spend by the same day, and says so in a line.
The yardstick is you: the median of your previous months, up to six, to the same day. Budgets exist, per category, and never block an entry.
Thirty currencies, crypto and two metals priced per troy ounce. Everything converts to the one you think in at the day’s public rate, and a closed month at its closing day.
A swap between your own accounts, or an entry you hide from Analytics, stays in every balance and out of every month figure. Your savings don’t look like spending.

Môney sets what you have spent by a day beside what you usually spend by the same day, and says so in a line. Sample ledger.

The ledger is stored on the phone. The only request Môney makes is for public exchange rates, and it carries no ledger data and no identifier. There is no account, no cloud, no analytics, no crash reports, no ads and no subscription.
02 / Four views, one ledger
Overview, Accounts, Analytics and Settings. Add an entry in a few taps, then look back a month at a time, in your base currency.
Pick a base currency, then an account in any of thirty. Its opening balance stays on the account; a card or a loan can sit below zero and is shown as owed.
Môney remembers the category and account you gave a title before, and offers its latest amount with a tap. It learns from your own entries and nowhere else.
The Overview shows what you’ve spent so far against your usual, the category that moved most, and what you have scheduled. Tap the net worth to mask every amount.
Analytics draws your balance with its trend, cash flow with incomes above and expenses below, and where it went by category and merchant.
Export the whole ledger as a JSON file, or the transactions as CSV. Import checks a file before it touches anything, and a bad one never overwrites your ledger.
03 / Start with the phone you carry
Nothing to pay and no account to create. On the open Fold, from 600 points wide, the tabs move to a side rail.
iOS 15.1 or later, iPad included.
Phones and the Fold, from the Play Store.
Every ledger rule, the rates, the insights and each screen are written down in SPEC.md, next to the code and a generated design kit of the interface.

3.0.99 — 2026-10-01 - The suggestions for a category and an account while you type a title are built from your entries when the form opens, instead of from a catalog stored in your settings. Deleting or correcting an entry stops it teaching the suggestion straight away, and the catalogs leave your settings on the next start.
Môney keeps your ledger on the phone, so a lost or replaced phone takes it along. Export a backup now and then from Settings; it takes one tap.
Questions, answered
Yes. There is no subscription, no payment and no ads, in the app or anywhere else. Môney makes nothing from your data, because it never receives any.
No. There’s no sign-in, no sync service and no cloud. Môney opens on your phone with a four-digit PIN, optionally behind your fingerprint or face.
On the phone, in the app’s own storage. Backups are plain JSON files you own and keep wherever you like; the PIN and the biometric preference never travel in one.
One kind of request: the public exchange-rate feed, refreshed when it’s more than six hours old. It carries no ledger data and no identifier, only a request for a public file. Adding, reading and exporting all work offline, and a bundled rate table covers the first launch.
Thirty: major and regional currencies, five cryptocurrencies, and gold and silver priced per troy ounce. Pick one as your base and change it whenever you like.
If you want bank sync, shared budgets, receipts, savings goals or split transactions, Môney is not it, on purpose. You write entries yourself, and it stays one person’s ledger.
It compares what you’ve spent by today with the median of what you had spent by the same day in your previous months, up to six. With enough of the month gone it gives a percentage; earlier it gives a word, more, less or as usual; and with no earlier month to compare, or only one early in the month, it shows the figure alone.
Neither the PIN nor the fingerprint or face preference can be recovered, and neither is in a backup. Keep the PIN somewhere safe.
